Luxurious flower boxes have been ordered under the name Cristiano Ronaldo from an exclusive Birmingham florist for Mother’s Day. The gorgeous £600 set is made up of exquisite rainbow roses and a red rose that lasts a decade.
High-end online retailer Envie Roses – which has a warehouse near the postbox in the city center – said it was ‘thrilled and delighted’ when the order was apparently placed by the icon of the football this week. And they say they are certain it is the Manchester United striker after a member of their squad spoke to the legendary player on the phone.
They said three boxes of vibrant roses and a single luxurious stem rose in a glass dome will be delivered to a penthouse address in the Manchester area over the weekend. They said the personalized message requested by CR7, sent via their website in Portuguese, translates on the box to: “Always with me in my heart”.

The upscale Birmingham company – which has a host of celebrity clients – said they were “proud Brummies”. Janel Steinberg of Envie Roses told BirminghamLive: “As we approach Mother’s Day, we are delighted and excited that Cristiano Ronaldo has placed an order for his mum.
“All the staff here are over the moon, there’s currently a fight going on among the staff over who will be doing the delivery! We all know he loves his mum, he’s a true champion!
“Even though London has many flower businesses, it chose us here in Birmingham. We are certainly proud Brummies.”
Ronaldo’s mother, Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, 67, has been a huge influence during his glittering career with her unwavering love and support. The father of the family posted a touching Instagram message on his birthday late last year.
The message was translated into English which would have read: “Happy birthday to the best mother in the world, a warrior who always taught me not to give up, the best grandmother my children could dream of having… I t love so much, my mother! Kiss.
Envie Roses logistics manager Adam Qureshi is confident the five-time Ballon d’Or winner ordered the roses, which are from Ecuador. And he hopes the star’s mom will appreciate the flowers on Maternity Sunday.
The personalized glass dome translates in English to: “I love you mom”. It features a rose that has been injected with water molecules to keep it fresh for 10 years.
Mr Qureshi told BirminghamLive: “We have an address for a penthouse and we’ve confirmed the delivery time with him over the phone. What we think of our conversation is that his mum is visiting him at Manchester.
“He ordered three boxes of multicolored roses and a Lady Helen – which is a preserved fresh rose that lasts up to 10 years – in a glass dome.
“It’s a big deal for us because it could have appealed to many flower companies. We’ve had many orders from wealthy people because of the packaging and the service we provide. But it’s definitely the most famous .”
He added: “People assume that Valentine’s Day is the greatest day to give flowers. In fact, it’s not – it’s Mother’s Day. You have to have someone you know. love on Valentine’s Day – but everyone has a mother.”
