In the clip, Cho started making her own bouquet of poppies by first making sure she had a vase filled with fresh water.

Then she gently peeled off the base of each flower to expose the stunning colors.

Using a pair of pliers, she then cut the ends at an angle.

She revealed the most important step of all: burning the tip of the rod.

Whether you use a candle or a lighter to burn the bottom end of each flower stem, be sure to let it burn for a few seconds.

Once you have made each flower, throw them in fresh water and be sure to change it daily.

Cho explained, “It’s the only way to prepare poppies. Otherwise, they’ll fall.”

Even though his trick proved effective, some were still curious to know exactly how it worked.

A user asked, “What does burning do?”

A second said: “Is burning important for all flowers, or just poppies?”

“Love that in this video alone you can see the flowers start to open the longer they are in the water,” praised a third.
